Lights, camera, action! The former home of Francis Ford Coppola in Buenos Aires is now a seven room Boutique Hotel: Be Jardin Escondido. The Oscar winning film director fell in love with Buenos Aires while shooting his 2009 movie “Tetro” when he lived in this magnificent townhouse.

The filmmaker was so enchanted by both the house and its neighborhood that he decided to share its uniqueness and location with travellers from around the world. Featuring seven individual rooms, many named after Francis and his family, this boutique hotel, with its leafy courtyard garden, small plunge pool, terraces, and contemporary rustic feel offers guests a stylish and sophisticated oasis in the heart of Palermo Soho...
Set in Chic Palermo Soho Jardin Escondido is well positioned and is a great base to explore the city from. Palermo Soho with its cafes, restaurants and boutiques in low rise buildings is trendy, creative, chic, young and cool. Cobblestoned streets lined with oak tree canopies add to this neighborhoods allure, it’s recognised as being the fashion district with its mix of individual designer shops. During the day the streets are filled with shoppers and by night it recreates itself as a hub for some of the cities best restaurants, bars and clubs, something for everyone. A stone’s throw from Jardin Escondido is Plaza Serrano, circular in shape, and surrounded by cafes and bars, at weekends it hosts a craft and arts fair, selling bohemian jewellery and leather goods.
Continental Breakfast is included on all bookings and although the Hotel does not provide room service or other dining options, the surrounding area has a host of alternate eating options, from small cosy cafes to some of the cities best restaurants. Available with prior notice and at an extra cost, a traditional Argentine Asado (BBQ), can be organised with a varied selection of traditional meat cuts cooked in the Hotel’s own courtyard garden. The hotel operates an honesty bar where you will find a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages as well as an extensive selection of fine wines from Francis Ford Coppola’s own vineyard in Mendoza.
