Brunch Time in BA
BA’s recent adoption of the worldwide renowned concept of brunch has left many people scrambling to find a table. Granted, it might have arrived “fashionably lateâ€, like any good porteño, but it is undoubtedly here to stay.
Here are StayUnico’s top 5 places to brunch it up a notch in Palermo.
NININA BAKERY
Top of the list and a favorite for visitors, this open kitchen, modern design bakery store is a must.
Their delicious brunch caters for all tastes and dietary restrictions, ranging from the essential coffee and scrambled eggs to the more delectable waffles and hearty pancakes.
Insider Tip: They have take-away for all their products.
Address: Gorriti 4738, Palermo Soho
Hours: Brunch is served daily until 3pm
LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN
A fantastic French-style bakery (which actually originates from Belgium) is a restaurant in the heart of Palermo. The communal table makes for quite a cozy atmosphere, a great way to meet new people. It’s a place that certainly makes quality fresh ingredients a priority, and has a relaxed atmosphere.
Their distinctive brunch menu stands out for its fresh bread basket served with organic jam and dulce de leche, the porteño version of caramel (but better!). Served alongside granola or yogurt with fresh fruit, your choice of eggs and last, but never the least, a warm croissant.
Insider Tip: They make a mean pain au chocolat.
Address: Armenia 1641, Palermo Soho
Hours: Open daily 9am - 9pm
Brunch Hours: Weekdays 9am - 12pm / Weekends and Holidays 9am - 3pm
OUI OUI
Offers a full brunch menu that puts the traditional café con leche and medialunas (coffee and croissants) to shame. Not only can you find eggs Benedict, which is rare enough in BA, but they excel at the bakery selection as well. The Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur are pretty high on the list and shouldn’t be missed.
Insider Tip: Can and will get crowded on weekends. Since they don’t take reservations, bring your patience along with your appetite.

For those of you out there who think it isn’t breakfast without some eggs here’s another pioneer on the brunch scene of BA. We recommend the NYC bagel, topped off with scrambled eggs and a side of cream cheese.
